From what kind of material (inorganic) is PLANET SUPRA made of?
SUPRA is made from hyperfine hollow silica and water-based acrylic resin emulsified by the ultra-electrolyzed water.
What is the characteristic of PLANET SUPRA?
PLANET SUPRA reflects 94.6% of near-infrared rays, more than 90% of all wavelength rays. And as it is an alkaline base paint, it has antibacterial and deodorization effects. PLANET SUPRA can easily be painted by ordinary paint brush, roller and airless spray gun.
Is PLANET SUPRA organic solvent or water-based?
It is water based acrylic silicon resin paint. This paint contributes to save the earth's environment.
Does PLANET SUPRA has an unusual odor, ignition and freezing point?
There is slight odor. It doesn't catch fire easily. The freezing point is -5 degree C.

Is it possible to paint on interior walls?
Yes, PLANET SUPRA doesn't have any harmful effect and it has antibacterial and insulation effect. Moreover, according to the resistance to mold test, PLANET SUPRA is extremely effective when used for interior painting purposes.
How about dew condensation effect?
As PLANET SUPRA has insulation effect, dew condensation problem will be immensely reduced.
What about air conditioning load?
Yes, we can expect 10-30% of electricity consumption reduction by reducing air conditioning load.
If we paint on a concrete roof, how much temperature difference can we expect?
It all depends on the outside temperature but normally surface temperature decreases 10-30. We can expect 10-30% of reduction in electricity consumption.
If we paint it on balcony, will we feel any effect of PLANET SUPRA?
It depends on the balcony's material, but PLANET SUPRA reflects sunlight as a consequence, surface temperature shall not increase that much.
How about the reflectance ratio in different colors of PLANET SUPRA?
It depends on the color, the best reflection is with white color. Even our gray color has reflection of 79.2%. The lighter colors will even have better reflection rate.
If the paint is applied on ship deck or rooftop are there any special painting procedures needed?
PLANET SUPRA has passed "Salt Spray Test". However the surface area has to painted first by anti rust coating and then we can apply PLANET SUPRA.
Can we paint PLANET SUPRA on top of another paint?
Yes, we can paint only if the old paint is water based paint.
What is PLANET SUPRA's weight per liter and what about the specific gravity?
Specific gravity is 0.65 cubic centimeters. Weight is 650g/liter
When the surface become grimy, is there any effect on the reflectivity ?
Normally, grime decreases the reflectivity.
Is it possible to speed up the drying process by dryer?
If the outdoor temperature is not perfect for natural drying process then we can dry our product by air dryer. Provided the air temperature does not exceed 50 ` 60 degrees C.
For more performance, do we need more coats?
We need thickness of 200 microns and it's achieved by two coats. Any thickness of more than 200 microns will not improve the performance of the product.
What happens to the reflected Solar Light (electromagnetic ray)?
i According to Japan Paint Inspection and Testing Association jF Solar Insolation received on horizontal surface will reflect back into the air and same thing will happen with our product.
How about the resistance to abrasion?
Actual PLANET SUPRA's data is not so good, however, we're now developing a new overcoat by using silicon resin and fluorine system resin to solve this problem effectively.
Painting Technique
What kind of water should we use for dilution purposes?
We recommend special dilution water for SUPRA (ionic water). We don't recommend tap water because of chlorine, hardness and calcium.
What percentage of diluted water is required?
Dilution of 8% to 10% shall be required at the construction site.@
How many coats are necessary?
First, please paint the base coat to smooth the surface. After drying, normally 2 coats are required.

How about the drying time?
The dry to touch time is 30-40 minutes and the complete hardening takes around 48 hours.
How many colors are available?
There are 22 basic colors. Any specific colors can be made on a special order.
What are the tools required for painting?
PLANET SUPRA can be painted by brush, roller or airless spray gun.
What if there are wood tiles on the roof?
As the sunlight consists of electromagnetic rays, it passes through the tiles easily. However, if the back side of the tiles are painted with PLANET SUPRA, we can expect the heat barrier effect.
